Outreach is a vital part of a church that is alive and growing. Start by doing what is necessary, then do what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible. Each of us can be a part of doing the impossible!
Stepping Stones
One of our consistent partners is Stepping Stones Safe Haven. We host the residents of the program one night each month, providing a fresh meal and a comfortable place to sleep for between 10 and 20 women and children. We are proud to support this ministry!
Habitat for Humanity
Our financial support to this very worthy cause is one of the main stays of our Church. Each year we give financially to help this organization build homes for those in need, and when possible, members from First Cumberland help in local home builds.
Community Helpers
Community Helpers is another organization that we support financially to help those in our community with utilities and other essentials. Pastor Chris is a member of the board, and would be glad to answer questions about Community Helpers' service to the community.
Mission Trips
Members of our congregation have participated, sometimes in conjunction with our youth, on various mission trips. From Copper Basin, TN and Broken Bow, OK, to Florida and Chicago, and more! We work to be active for the good of the world.
